Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP 12-61-0)

NH4H2PO4, CAS 7722-76-1, N 12% and P2O5 61%, fully water-soluble crystalline phosphorus source for fertigation and soluble NPK production. Typical values are confirmed per batch COA.

What it is / When to use

Concentrated N-P base for water-soluble formulas

Monoammonium phosphate (MAP 12-61-0) is a fully water-soluble crystalline fertilizer raw material, NH4H2PO4, CAS 7722-76-1, carrying N 12% and P2O5 61%. A 1% solution runs at about pH 4.5, making it a standard phosphorus base for water-soluble NPK formulas, fertigation, and starter programs. Values are typical and confirmed per batch COA.

  • What it is Monoammonium phosphate, NH4H2PO4 — a fully water-soluble 12-61-0 nitrogen-phosphorus raw material.
  • When to use Use it as the phosphorus base in soluble NPK production, drip irrigation, and rooting or starter programs; compare MKP 0-52-34 when a nitrogen-free P-K source is needed.
  • Honesty note specifications are typical for evaluation; final values are confirmed per batch COA.

Applications

Where MAP 12-61-0 fits

Confirm crop, rate, compatibility, and local label requirements before application.

Fertigation phosphorus

Fully water-soluble NH4H2PO4 dissolves cleanly for drip, sprinkler, and flush application programs.

Soluble NPK base

MAP 12-61-0 is a standard phosphorus base raw material for producing water-soluble NPK+TE formulas.

Starter & rooting

The high P2O5 61% analysis supports root establishment and early-stage crop nutrition.

Slightly acidic solution

A 1% solution runs at about pH 4.5, which helps keep phosphate and micronutrients available in irrigation water.

Compare with MKP

For a nitrogen-free, chloride-free P-K source at flowering and fruiting, compare MKP 0-52-34.

Batch documents

TDS, COA, and SDS support procurement and formulation review.

Packaging & Documents

Export packaging with batch-level documents

RunziChem supports standard export bags and procurement documents for review before order confirmation.

  • Packaging 25 kg / 50 kg export bags, jumbo bags (1,250 kg), and custom packaging on request.
  • Documents TDS, current batch COA, SDS, packing list, and shipment documents on request.

Buyer FAQ

Monoammonium Phosphate questions

What does the 12-61-0 grade of monoammonium phosphate mean?
The grade describes the nutrient analysis: N 12%, P2O5 61%, and K2O 0%. Monoammonium phosphate (NH4H2PO4, CAS 7722-76-1) is therefore one of the most concentrated water-soluble phosphorus raw materials available, pairing a moderate ammoniacal nitrogen charge with a very high phosphate content.
Should I buy MAP 12-61-0 or MKP 0-52-34 for my fertigation program?
Choose MAP 12-61-0 when the program needs both nitrogen (N 12%) and phosphorus (P2O5 61%), typically at rooting and early vegetative stages. Choose MKP 0-52-34 when a nitrogen-free, chloride-free phosphorus-potassium source is preferred, typically at flowering and fruiting. Many soluble NPK recipes use both raw materials.
Can monoammonium phosphate be tank-mixed with calcium fertilizers?
No. Like other phosphate raw materials, MAP reacts with calcium sources such as calcium ammonium nitrate to form insoluble calcium phosphate, which can clog drip lines. Keep MAP and calcium fertilizers in separate stock tanks, or apply them in separate fertigation cycles.
Are the N 12% and P2O5 61% values guaranteed?
No. The 12-61-0 analysis and the pH (1% solution) of about 4.5 are typical values for buyer screening. The current batch certificate of analysis (COA) confirms the final nitrogen, phosphate, appearance, and quality values for the lot you receive.
