Custom Chelated Micronutrient Blends: OEM & Private Label from China

RunziChem manufactures single-element EDTA chelates (Zn 15%, Fe 13%, Cu 14.5%, Mn 13%, Ca 10%, Mg 6%), EDDHA-Fe 6% (o-o 4.8%), and two standard compound EDTA grades, and can produce custom blends to a buyer's specified analysis. OEM support includes private-label packaging, per-batch COA, TDS/SDS documentation, and registration assistance, FOB Qingdao. This page sets out the two standard compound grades we hold, how custom-analysis blending is scoped, the packaging and minimum-order terms, and the quality documents that ship with every order — so a formulator or brand can judge fit before requesting a quote. RunziChem is a 17-year micronutrient exporter to 50-plus countries, ISO 9001 certified with BV factory verification and SGS testing.

What is a custom chelated micronutrient blend, and what does RunziChem make?

A custom chelated micronutrient blend is a multi-element fertilizer powder in which the metal nutrients — iron, zinc, copper, manganese and others — are each bound to a chelating ligand and combined to a buyer's target analysis, then packed under the buyer's own label. RunziChem builds these blends on an EDTA base. Our catalogue covers single-element EDTA chelates (Zn 15%, Fe 13%, Cu 14.5%, Mn 13%, Ca 10%, Mg 6%), EDDHA-Fe 6% with 4.8% ortho-ortho isomer for high-pH iron, and two standard compound EDTA grades listed in the table above.

We supply EDTA and EDDHA chelates. We do not supply DTPA-chelated micronutrients — if your formulation specifies DTPA, we will say so up front rather than substitute silently. From these building blocks we blend to your specification. RunziChem has exported micronutrients for 17 years to more than 50 countries, holds ISO 9001 certification, and backs each shipment with per-batch COA, TDS and SDS.

Why does the chelated form matter in a blend?

Chelation is what keeps the metal nutrients soluble and available once your product hits water and soil. The EDTA molecule wraps around each metal cation so it resists reacting with carbonates, phosphates and calcium that would otherwise precipitate it out. Soil pH decides how much this matters: University of Florida IFAS Extension advises that chelated fertilizers are needed when soil pH is above about 6.5, because unchelated micronutrients drop in availability as pH climbs.

The ligand also sets the working pH ceiling. UF/IFAS data show Fe-EDTA is stable at around pH 6.0 but loses most of its stability by pH 7.5, whereas EDDHA-Fe stays stable above pH 7 — which is why our line pairs EDTA grades for neutral-to-mildly-acidic conditions with EDDHA-Fe for calcareous, high-pH water. Choosing the right chelate for the destination market's water and soil is part of scoping a blend; we flag it during spec confirmation rather than after production.

What are the two standard compound EDTA grades?

RunziChem holds two standard all-element compound grades so a buyer can start from an existing standard formula instead of a blank sheet. Type 1 leads with zinc and boron (Fe 4.0%, Zn 5.0%, Cu 0.5%, Mn 2.0%, B 2.0%, Mg 2.0%, Mo 0.1%, Co 0.1%) — a broad foliar/fertigation set weighted toward zinc-and-boron-responsive crops. Type 2 raises iron, copper and manganese and trims boron (Fe 5.0%, Zn 3.5%, Cu 2.2%, Mn 3.5%, B 1.1%, Mg 1.0%, Mo 0.03%, N 0.2%), suiting programmes that need heavier Fe/Cu/Mn correction.

Both are khaki to olive-tan free-flowing powders, fully water-soluble, with an indicative price of US$3,250–3,999 per metric ton FOB Qingdao. Element contents are typical values confirmed on each batch COA, not a fixed guarantee — request the current certificate before you calculate nutrient cost or finalize a label claim.

How does custom (OEM) blending work — the four steps?

Custom blending runs in four stages, each with a concrete deliverable so you can validate before committing to a container:

  1. Spec confirmation. You send the target analysis, mesh, crop, water/soil conditions and destination market. We reply with a feasibility assessment, a draft specification sheet, and an indicative quote. We scope to what the EDTA/EDDHA chemistry can hold — we do not promise an arbitrary composition, and we say where a target is not stable or not achievable.
  2. Sample & COA. We produce a representative sample against the agreed draft spec and ship it with the batch COA, TDS and SDS, so your agronomist and lab can validate the fit before you order.
  3. Trial / pilot production. On approval of the sample, we run a pilot batch to your finalized formula and label, and return the pilot COA plus private-label packaging proofs for sign-off.
  4. Mass production. Your first full order ships FOB Qingdao with the complete export dossier, at a typical lead time within 15 working days, with grades held consistent per batch COA as you reorder.

What OEM packaging can you provide?

Packaging is part of the private-label service: your brand, your bag design, your formula. RunziChem packs to your artwork in 25 kg and 50 kg woven bags and in 1000 kg and 1250 kg jumbo (bulk) bags, so distributors, formulators and crop-nutrition brands can choose retail-scale or bulk-fertigation formats. Single-element chelates, EDDHA-Fe and the compound grades can all be run under your own label with matching documentation.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Minimum order quantity depends on the grade and the packaging format, and is quoted per inquiry rather than fixed sitewide — single-element EDTA chelates, EDDHA-Fe and the compound blends each carry their own MOQ tier, and private-label runs differ from stock grades. Tell us the grade, volume band and packaging you need and we return the applicable MOQ with the quotation. Orders ship FOB Qingdao at a typical lead time within 15 working days.

What quality documents come with each order?

Every order ships with a per-batch Certificate of Analysis (COA), a Technical Data Sheet (TDS), and a Safety Data Sheet (SDS), plus the packing list and Certificate of Origin. For customs clearance and local product registration we also provide SGS test reports and a transport-conditions appraisal, and the full technical dossier your local registrant needs in markets — such as Brazil, Indonesia and India — where only a local entity can register and sell the product. RunziChem is ISO 9001 certified with BV factory verification; registration itself is completed by you or your local entity under local rules, and we supply the supporting dossier and samples.

Frequently asked questions

Can you match any target analysis I specify? We blend to your target where the EDTA/EDDHA chemistry can hold the elements stably. We confirm feasibility and return a sample COA before production; we do not promise a composition we cannot keep soluble and stable, and we do not supply DTPA-chelated grades.

Do you offer application rates for the blend? No — application rate depends on your crop, soil test, water and local regulations. Our documents give composition and handling, not a dosing prescription. Confirm rates with a local agronomist and a current soil/tissue test.

How do I get a quote and samples? Send your target products, grade or analysis, volume, packaging and destination to export@runzichem.org (Weign Wong, +86-543-4304059). We reply with specs, an indicative quote, sample options and the document set your registration needs.

Key takeaways

  • RunziChem runs OEM and private-label chelated micronutrient blends on an EDTA/EDDHA base — your brand, bag design and formula — with per-batch COA, TDS and SDS.
  • Two standard compound EDTA grades are held: Type 1 (Zn/B-weighted: Fe 4.0, Zn 5.0, Cu 0.5, Mn 2.0, B 2.0, Mg 2.0, Mo 0.1, Co 0.1%) and Type 2 (Fe/Cu/Mn-weighted: Fe 5.0, Zn 3.5, Cu 2.2, Mn 3.5, B 1.1, Mg 1.0, Mo 0.03, N 0.2%).
  • Custom blending runs in four steps — spec confirmation (feasibility + draft spec + quote), sample + COA, pilot production (pilot COA + label proof), mass production (full export dossier, typical lead time within 15 working days).
  • Packaging covers 25 kg and 50 kg woven bags plus 1000 kg and 1250 kg jumbo bags, packed to your private-label artwork.
  • Minimum order quantity varies by grade and packaging and is quoted per inquiry — single-element, EDDHA-Fe and compound grades each carry their own MOQ tier.
  • We supply EDTA and EDDHA chelates, not DTPA; chelated form matters because UF/IFAS advises chelates are needed above soil pH ~6.5, with Fe-EDTA stable near pH 6 and EDDHA-Fe stable above pH 7.
  • Element contents are typical values confirmed per batch COA, not a fixed guarantee; application rates are not prescribed — confirm with a local agronomist and soil/tissue test.

RunziChem (Shandong Jinrunzi Bio-Tech) manufactures the single-element EDTA chelates, EDDHA-Fe 6% (o-o 4.8%), and the two standard compound EDTA grades described here, and blends custom analyses to buyer specification under private label. All element contents are typical values confirmed on each batch COA, not a guaranteed fixed assay; we supply EDTA and EDDHA chelates, not DTPA. Packaging, MOQ, lead time and final price are quoted per inquiry — the US$3,250–3,999/MT FOB Qingdao figure is indicative and depends on grade, volume and packaging. The pH thresholds cited are general guidance from UF/IFAS and peer-reviewed sources, not a prescription for your field; application rates are deliberately not stated because they depend on crop, soil test, water and local rules — confirm with a local agronomist.
